This was part of our tour and it was fascinating toes how the textiles were made from the raw cotton, dyes were made from natural materials and the lovely designs. The explanation from one of their staff could not have been better and we really enjoyed our visit.

We went specifically to this coop based on reviews but were very disappointed as significantly smaller selection and I feel they overpriced us for 1 very small napkin ...asked 25Q. I paid 20Q as colours were right. No English nor explanations. Highly recommend earlier weaving and coffee coop we attended that morning name: Casa del Tejido y Tours. English, bathrooms, hands -on experience, much better quality and huge selection. Takes credit cards.

The quality of the products in Batz is high, the colours are much more mellow and the designs no the same as many of the other co-ops in the area. You won't find any of their designs anywhere else in San Juan, which can't be said for the majority of other stores. I purchased one scarf there for a reasonable price of 100GTQ and would have bought more if budget and backpack space allowed!

We visited most of the weaving cooperatives and shops in San Juan La Laguna prior to deciding where to buy. This place stood out for it's beautiful, understated designs, natural colors, and beyond-sweet co-owners. On entry to the shop, no one even approached us to ask if we were interested in certain products or hassle us in any way. They were available for questions but it really allowed us to relax and enjoy being in the shop. The selection was not overwhelmingly huge, which I prefer, and we ended up leaving with far more than we ever intended to purchase because the product was so outstanding and the experience of shopping there so pleasurable. Also, possibly some of the best prices in town for what seems to me a superior product. Cannot recommend more strongly.

Beautiful hand made textiles and they walk you through the incredibly time consuming process of dying and creating the yarn from raw cotton - all by hand. Truly special. Additionally, the shop is a co op providing jobs to many women in the town.
