Not worth the driving
Oct 2020 • Couples
Beautiful and wild sea but whole experience was a nightmare. Worst dirt road I've ever driven on. Bushes on the side growing into the road which can sratch your car. On the way back google map took us on a different way out which was a quite steep uphill road with stones. Little Fiat 500 nearly gave up! On the day we went the sea was angry with waves, full of seaweed as well. The opposite to crystal clear. So unless you know the place I don't recommend it.

Follow the right road and you’ll end up in heaven
Sep 2020 • Couples
We drove down two very bumpy long roads to nowhere before finally finding the correct route to Torre Salsa. Be careful following google maps as it will take you to the wrong place more than once. Don’t drive down any dirt roads unless you are sure you’re in the right place... the right road is dirt though so don’t be fooled! Pot holes a many ...

Best thing to do is set your gps for Bovo Marina " Spiaggia Pubblica " torre salsa carpark you should get to the right place!

Once you finally get there .. it’s the most beautiful beach. Clear water, fish swimming around your feet, warm and sunny. It’s worth the drive. A must see on Sicily 🌞 We had such a good day 🐠

Stunning!
Sep 2019 • Couples
By far the best beach we visited in Sicily, wild, unspoilt and very few people (it’s in a WWF natural park). No amenities thankfully so clean, peaceful and stunning.

One of the best beaches in Sicily!
Aug 2019
Once a year we always manage to come here and enjoy this spectacular sandy beach located in a nature reserve. So no cafes or eating places around. You have to take your own lunch and water as well as any other beach equipment you need. There is a big private parking lot about 5/10 minutes away from the sea.

Fabulous beach
Aug 2019 • Family
A lovely sandy beach which is accessed through a nature reserve. The access road is unmade and extremely bumpy, however don’t be put off! At the end is a car park and a short walk to a beautiful sandy beach. The sea is idyllic, there are a few coves to “explore”. We were a party of 8 - teenagers and younger children with us. There are no restaurants or shops, however a portable toilet was in the car park and there was a “snack van” with pizza, ice cream and drinks.
Definitely recommend a day here!

So peaceful
Oct 2018
It was so peaceful place. Not a lot of people and an opportunity to be naked! Thats always a plus :D I think the thing is the beach. There wasent anything to see in the sea but a good swim.

Best in Sicily so far
Aug 2018 • Family
We have tried the beaches around Syracusa , including the nature reserve, the various beaches around Agrigento but this has been the best so far. Kind of regretted going on the last day of our stay in Agrigento as we would have gone back.
Long sandy beach and very quiet. Took a walk and stumbled upon some nudists though.

At last somewhere to snorkel in southern Sicily
Aug 2018 • Family
We read the other reviews, took SS 115 from Sciacca to Torre Salsa, two exits off main road first is Bova Marina second was a bit tighter before some S bends about another 1k towards Siciluarna.

Followed the other reviews looking for entrance "Pantano", we followed the tarmac road onto the sandy track for the nature reserve car park. The track was no issue, steady away in second gear. There are a couple of blind bends and the odd hole or rough section. If it rains some parts of the track could become rutted. Hire car survived no problem.

The car park is a few minutes walk to beach, as mentioned no facilities except for Barry White ice cream van selling ice cream, drinks and ice cream in a brioche bun that I must try.

The beach was clean, sandy and easy to enter, it was quite shallow and suitable for young families.

On the right end of the of the beach there are rocks with sea grass, anemones, crabs, sea snails, sea cucumbers and plenty of fish.

For the south coast with its sandy beaches, snorkeling has been quite poor. Whilst this is not as good as North West areas of the island it suggests some green shoots in the nature reserve for a young reef but will take some years to mature.

Overall we had a great time and would recommend. Don't worry about the track as long as it is dry.

Crowded by still beautiful, plenty space for everyone
Jul 2018 • Family
We have visited Torre Salsa in July with two kids 4 and 6 y.o. There are three beaches. One is 2 min walk from the parking, which costed 4 euro and was well organised. This one was crowded by still beautiful, with ice track, where you could also by coffee and water. The second to the right 10 min walk, where you could easily find a spot for yourself, with almost no people. There was supposed to be a nice snorkelling spot, which we did not find. By the beach and scenery were amazing, worth a walk. The third one to the left. We did not go that direction.

Nice beach, overhyped and drives hard work
May 2018 • Family
The beach is a nice beach...nothing special...the only nice wildlife we saw was walking between where we parked and the beach, sea was nice (no turtles or fish when we swam)...fair bit of litter on beach though which dampened the experience since it's ment to be protected. It's a long risky drive so make sure your comfortable behind the wheel otherwise you may damage your vehicle or stress yourself badly. Me and the brother in law had to take over from our parents because they found it too much and went to the wrong part first due to signs (best to use Google maps). Overall it's a nice beach but not worth the effort to get there.
