I spent 6 weeks in the Conversational courses (2 hours daily) and not only did I ameliorated my spanish speaking, I met nice and gentle people who made me felt so friendly from the very first day in class. Moreover I made some nice acquaintances.
I strongly recommend it to everyone who would choose Alicante for vacation and could combine relaxation along with learning the language, participate to events, make new friends.
It’s the perfect place ! Muchas gracias Marisol, Carmen y Irene
¡¡Hasta Luego !!

I spend one week a year in Alicante and have now done two week long courses, first with Alicia then with Carmen. This is a perfect complement to the Spanish classes I do in England. I support all the positive comments of other contributors. It gives one a real immersion in Spanish speaking and listening, and I admire the way the teachers combine a relaxed approach with some clear learning targets. It's a friendly atmosphere, and international - this time my class included students from Russia, China and Germany. This year I did the optional Spanish cooking class with Carmen, and my tortillas are much improved! And her podcasts are also a very useful resource

Viva la Lengua is a small and very friendly school. I was only signed up for a 1 week intensive course but I felt I was getting the same level of care and attention as people staying for much longer. My teacher (Carmen) was excellent and made a real effort to tailor things to my needs (or failings!). Special thanks also to Elisa on the front desk. Highly recommended - and check out their podcast!

I spent 8 weeks in the intensive courses (4 hours a day) not only was it reasonably priced, I felt it was the perfect environment to learn Spanish. We had a chance to learn and speak Spanish with people from all over the world. There were opportunities to practice in the school activities and the city itself. It is close to the beach, great places to eat/drink and historical sites. Alicia was my teacher and came prepared everyday with a big smile on her face, with tons of positive energy. I would recommend this to anyone trying to learn Spanish in a more interactive environment.

My experience was very good: my teacher (Alicia) is very nice and very knowledgeable. We had lots of fun in class and I also learned a lot. I never studied spanish in my life and after three weeks I could easily have a conversation with spanish native-speakers. The other members of the staff are also very kind, friendly and helpful. The location is absolutely perfect and the price is very reasonable.
I highly recommend it! :)

I spent two months at the school, 2 to 4hrs/day. My teacher, Alicia, was unimaginative, unable to control the class, uncaring and unresponsive. We received no feedback in class, no encouragement and it seemed like she was following the class rather than leading it. I have heard good reports of other teachers though.
Despite all that, I learned a lot of Spanish, applying myself and paying for extra conversation classes, which made a great difference.
The activities of the school were nothing like what is advertised, I attended two poorly organised activities, then gave up.

I studies spanish for two months in Alicante and I really enjoyed my time there. The school is pretty small, so lot's of personal attention. Located in the centre of Alicante. Teachers are friendly. Learned a lot in two months. I definitely recommend this school.

I spend a week at the school taking classes in the morning and going to the beach (100m away) and exploring Alicante in the afternoons. Friendly but serious lessons in small classes make it really worthwhile. I wish I could have stayed longer!

Just got back after a weeks intensive course.
Viva la Lengua is a small school which is so welcoming and friendly. They have a great location near the harbour and on the edge of the old town.
The pace of the course is geared to your ability and overall was great fun.
Definitely a location to improve your Spanish!
