The museum is located inside of an outstanding building from the end of XIX century. His topic is about the history and environment of the Canal d’Urgell; the channel was a construction of the middle of XIX century, becoming an engineering work quite complex because of the orography; and at the same time, being vital to the development of the southern region of the province. The museum guide always does the visits to the exhibition, and its last is approximately 1h 15 minutes. Along the tour, the guide mix his own knowledge with images and audio-visuals. At the end, for the same price, you can visit the temporary exhibition room, where by the time of my last visit, a show of a local art was been displayed. Honestly, it was shocking to me find out how was possible 150 years ago construct such infrastructure with the tools and the technology. I cannot believe it! In addition, the visit to this museum helps to you to realize how this construction totally transformed the region, its society and economy. If you drop by the region and you have a couple of hours, I strongly recommend to you the visit. It is not an expensive museum (3€ or 4€) and it is worthy.…
