An amazing medieval walled village in the middle of the countryside. Definitely worth a visit to explore the walls and alleyways.

Dropped in very quickly on way elsewhere. Need to return to give this picturesque historical town of the knights Templar much more time. First impressions were very good. There is a strong commercial element with vendors selling rather upmarket goods. Three euros to park, but...More

We've spend a couple of weeks travelling looking at Cathar and Templar sites and this living village is worthy of top billing. Off the traditional tourist tracks, La Couvertoirade is well worthwhile, literally travelling the extra mile to see. This is a site that is...More

An amazing step back in time. This village still has its 15th century walls, houses & church. A wonderful place to visit. Entry is free, car parking only €3 for up to 24Hr. If you have the chance do yourself a favour and call in....More

Build in the Middle Age (1200 -1400) this tiny Templers fortified village takes you back in time. Walk through the streets, visit the church and do spend a little money to gain access to the top of the wall.

Visited this Templar fortified town and had a surprise by just how intact it is. Lovely artisan shops to browse. Beautiful stained glass windows in the church. My only complaint is the car park ticket machine. Difficult and time consuming causing big queus
