This venue is worth taking a special trip in order to visit. The fortress has a fascinating history dating back to the Ottoman Empire, with the original iron gates remaining. You must like fortresses in order to justify the trip, because there isn’t anything else...More

A gorgeous area easily accessible where you feel small in the face of man's achievements but especially of nature. It is a restored fortress in the 19th century where you can see how hard it could be conquered in 1878.

Visiting the fortress and experiencing the magnificent views is a must when you are in Bulgaria. It is a little bit of the beaten track but it is definitely worth it. Unique rock formations which you will not find anywhere else in the world.

If you're afraid of heights, don't go near the edges of the rocks, because they may freak you out. It is however totally worth it! The stairs are pretty steep, but are secured enough.
