at the JR station, there's ARTE departmental store. out of the station, there's a major shopping street. you can also find a mode off and a book off here. mode off is a 2nd hand shop that you can buy branded stuff at reused price.

Great park that is always well maintained, along with 2 small zoos and a Shinto shrine. Good for a quick jog (it's barely a mile around the pond, unless you go to the adjoining sports park with a track).
