Valras Plage has a gently sloping beach of clean fine sand and is great for families with children. In the town behind there are plenty of shop restaurants etc. to cater for all your needs.

Enjoyed some time on the beach. It is very pleasant out of season but imagine may be very crowded during holidays. There are small okay areas on the beachfront for children to play on. Water quite shallow so good for small children to splash around...More

Valras Plage is a long and wide sandy beach, which is divided into smaller bays by rock walls. It is very shallow. There is a promenade all along the beach front.

We spent two weeks in a rental condo situated right on the beach. Valras-Plage is a fairly pleasant seaside town with nice sandy beaches and shallow water. We stayed in the western part of it which is less crowded and quieter and therefore more suitable...More

Lovely seaside town with many restaurants and shops. Serviced by a petit train that goes to the all the local campsites. Beaches very clean and safe. 8th year at this town, going back next year.

There's a market twice a week I think - on Tuesdays and Fridays. It's at the port, close to the main shops. Hope this helps

There are a number of locations along the beach from Valras plage in the town to Vendres Plage (about 2km) that hire out loungers etc.
