We were on a cruise. Spent the day in Split, walked the stairs of Marjan Hill (good hike and worth the sweat-great views and nice cafe at top). Did the sights in town and still had some time, so got an Uber out to Klis...More

Film location which they do not really use to it’s full advantage. I’ve been to a fortress in the middle of a desert in Morocco and there was the strong affinity with the film ‘Gladiator’ because it was filmed there. Klis, featured in the series...More

Our family enjoyed our tour of the fortress. It has a very interesting history and the little museum is worth a look see. The fortress has great views of Split and the valley. We also enjoyed hearing about the Game of Thrones filming. Wear comfortable...More

This fortress is quite hard to reach and is about 20 minutes from Split. It was extremely pricey for what it is honestly. It's nice and there was some scenes filmed here for Game of thrones, but I am not sure it is worth going...More

Exposed fortress in differing states of repair as you move through it, absolutely worth visiting for the history, who cares about game of thrones. Look out for the ticket office with the local mafia smoking their heads off and drinking. Not your usual welcome at...More

I totally can recommend it. Nice views, only a few visitoros, so if you want to see something nice without crowds if people, this is it. Also the small children enjoyed it. For small babies take a carrier.

Some amazing views from the top of the fortress, really interesting to see how it's been built up over the centuries. Parking at the base of the fortress is free but not many spaces, the climb up to the top isn't too steep but there...More

My bf and I love visiting forts and this one was no disappointment. True, you can't really visit the inside but we enjoyed just walking around here. It also offers an amazing view over Split. One tip: be sure gps sends you over the main...More

There is a big enough parking place nearby, we left our cars there, there was no problem or incident. I honestly believe it is safe for you or anyone to leave the car there. We had our own car, Romanian number and Hungarian... More

I think it would be fine as there aren't very many steps! The entrance is more of a hill and you could walk around the fortress at your own pace :)
