Beautiful Renaissance square, regarded as "perfect" in design. Architects involved were Bramante and Leonardo. Elegant arcades and exquisitely painted exteriors of buildings. Nice cafes and restaurants. Well worth a visit

Piazza Ducale in Vigevano is one of the most beautiful piazzas in Italy, and Vero Latte, jusy off the Piazza, sells gelati which is as good as any in Italy. It is certainly worth visiting both.

I loved the castle and the nite lights; the atmosphere is beautiful; the shops are gorgeous and it was busy enough for a rainy and cold April nite

This square, with restaurants, the cathedral, and the castle was entirely unexpected, and yet it rivalled that of Salamanca. It must be one of the most beautiful in Italy, if not Europe, and is a great legacy of the Sforza.
