If you are fond of seeing different kinds of sea shells, this is the place to go. This owned by a very old man who is a shell collector. I got a chance to see and talk to him. The entrance fee is only 50 pesos. Don’t expect the museum to be in an airconditioned building. Some of the glass panels have cracks and the shell collections are stored in a poor condition. The staff are very courteous and explain to us about the different shells. There is also the tiniest shell named after Emperor Hirohito and it is the most expensive shell in the world. I hope they improve the place especially the wooden casings of the shells and put some aircons. But my family enjoyed the collections.

This museum is usually part of the Panglao Island Tour.

It has an entrance fee of 50 pesos per adult, but kids are free.

There will be a tour guide that will show you around the museum and will provide some details regarding the history of the shells. And the end is the souvenirs store.

Wonderful display of shells and we actually found the guide to be helpful and very informative. They did not stand over you yet if you wanted to know something, they were ready to help. Loved the museum pieces at the rear and actually a hidden gem. The place could do with a make-over, however, it was enjoyable.

The shell museum is more of a large and somewhat rambling personal shell collection that is now on display, It is quite a collection though and a must see for any person interested at all in collecting shells.

The place is included in our Panglao Tour and our driver Kuya Mario told us before we even enter the place that there are very expensive pearls and shells that are being sold inside. Hmmm. that strike's as curiosity for us.
The place is begging for a facelift! I hope that the government of Bohol will find time to help this place. Lots of potential!
The shells housed here are amazing thanks to our tour guide during that time who explained things very well!

This place could have been a great tourist spot. Sadly: -

1. Place was not well maintained. Water leaking from ceiling causing floor to be slippery;

2. Guides were not interested to tell you much. More engrossed with the mobile phone. Only concern is to get you to the souvenir shop to buy something.

3. Guides were more keen to sell you witchcraft charms. Keep on promoting shark tooth as protection. We just told them off. As Christians, we believe Jesus is more powerful than shark tooth :)

Other than the above, the collection of shells on display was very interesting. It would be nice if they sell the shells in their original form.

Definitely bigger on the inside. You can visit room after room and every time you think you've reached the end, it turns out you're wrong. The guide was extremely well informed and very interesting. Check out the tree house!

The visit of the shell museum was ok, we took a look around and bought something, but if it has not been part of our booked tour, I would not go there.
