Many places to eat, from the 5 star to the sand floor. Good values in food and drink. Very clean beach and water. You can book scuba and outward tours from the dive shops that line the beach. Not really the best place to sunbathe...More

We'd heard a lot about Alona beach being a big attraction so decided to check it out. The water looked nice but we went at high tide which may explain why there was so much seaweed and less beach than usual. You get peoplw trying...More

What do you get when you allow however many people and business and whatever sort of elements to flood a place? A sad situation. You can tell a lot about people by what you see. And by what I saw, I see a local government...More

We stayed in one of the resorts directly on Alona Beach. It's mostly a white sand beach. Small coral pieces and shells can be found on the beach. Sea weed seems to me minimal and is mostly removed. The ocean water is warm, clean and...More

I wish the local government would implement stricter rules to protect and preserve this public beach. It is beautiful, no doubt about it, but the visitors’ trash and stray dogs are everywhere.

Went for a day from our accomodation further away to see what the hype was about. Worst beach on the island and worst I've seen in my time in the Philippines. Not much room between the sea and the buildings. Mostly reserved for hotels or...More

Alona Beach is very nice - but it could be a lot nicer. The local government could do a much better job at keeping it clean. It needs to be cleaned (more often - if it is being cleaned at all). Both in the water...More

Most of the bars and service people are obviously not interested in serving. Yeah, it's apparent that everyone works for a living but it would be better if the Bohol Tourism Council would give more trainings on how to be hospitable and service-oriented rather than...More

Water is clear, sky is blue, perfect for snorkeling but could be crowded at some spots. Skipped the middle section of the beach for less crowd which is to the right side of the beach - not the Amorita resort end. At sunset, female masseurs...More
