Amazing Cellar door experience
The girls were so super friendly and it has recently had a make over and looks so beautiful and fresh. Can't wait to come back with my friends. Girls were helpful and they even have some tasting plates to enjoy while you relax and taste the wine. Such a great experience

We visited many wineries and this was one of our favourites. All the wines are delicious but make sure you try ruby and phoebe. They are great. Maximum people on site are 20 so only small groups made it more intimate. Quiet in comparison to other vineyards but definitely a hidden gem! Will be back!

I don't think the wine tasting experience was as interesting as some of the other places, but I loved their sparkling red, which was my favourite of my whole trip. The art gallery was nice for a few mins to look around also.

On our anniversary weekend trip with my husband, drove pass and thought we would do a wine tasting. We had our little dog with us, a Shitzu mixed with Maltese, as soon as we brought him off the car, their two dogs ran to him and started biting him. My husband held him up and the dogs bit my husband. Then a guy came out and took the dogs inside without saying anything to us. We were then told that they are not dog friendly. There is no sign at the property saying that dogs are not allowed. I have never seen such aggressive dogs like theirs. We have been to many wineries in Hunter Valley and other places in Australia with our dog, this is the first time this ever happened to our dog. It’s a shame that these people don’t even feel that their dogs did anything wrong. It would be a good idea for anyone who has a dog to stay away from them. We will definitely bring this incidence to relevant authority as well

Hello, I understand your how you felt yesterday - you love your dog and he is like family to you. We love dogs too and have had four over the last 14 years. Normally, our two are very happy to see people, are not aggressive, and the energetic young one particularly loves cuddles and is very curious about little fluffy animals. The older dog can be protective, when another dog is brought in without introduction. This unfortunately goes back to her being attacked by two dogs brought into our cellar door off lead. My husband was more concerned with getting our dogs onto leads than talking. Ordinarily, visitors do ask for our okay to bring their dogs in, and this gives us time to put the leads on ours. Not every winery is dog friendly for various reasons and they do acknowledge this on various websites, as we do, and with the local visitor information and tourism sites. We apologise that your experience here was not what you expected.

Do yourself a favour and visit the folks at Emma's Cottage Vineyard, you won't be disappointed. The wines are great, the art gallery is fantastic and the cottages are just divine.

Having stayed here approx 10 years ago the missus and I were keen for a return visit. It has chnaged hands in the interim but the wine selection has improved no end. The merlot is outstanding and the rose' is to die for. Hospitable owners conducting the tastings.

Hello Steve, Thank you for your return visit. It was delightful to meet you, your wife and your friends. And thanks for the accolades to our wine - we think the Rosé is rather special too. Cheers, Therese

Having read so many wonderful reviews, we were really keen to get to the vineyard. Even though we were the only people at the cellar door we didn't get any kind of greeting on entry and when we asked to try the wines there was little explanation of each or enthusiasm, despite our attempts to start conversation. Maybe we just got them on a bad day.

Hello, I am sorry that you didn't experience what you had hoped for. I was away visiting aged parent and the cellar door staff were not experienced chatters, both being shy computer nerds, they were keeping the flag flying. I do hope that you will give us another try. Our wines are lovely and I am sure you will enjoy the experience. Regards, the much more chatty, Therese

We originally came at 11.30am however it was closed. We returned at 4pm and wine tasting was still on. Les and Therese were lovely hosts, having owned the multi faceted property for a couple of years. All wines were of good quality with the chilled Ruby being the highlight.
So good we ended up staying for dinner - see separate review for Zaih's.
