The fort makes for an interesting 30 min stop en route giving an impression of the yesteryears of Bedouin life. The Liwa desert doesn’t offer many sightseeing opportunities, nor did I manage to find very much about the history of this fort. The place looks...More

On the pictures it appeared as a big castle, but when you go there, you will realize it is a small fortress - pretty amazing, but not much to see. It is a standalone building, no restaurant or any other tourist supporting facilities.

A very small little fort. Al Ain etc have much better examples but one can go and take a quick look. Surrounded by rather delapidated houses and we had small boys throw stones at us. Not worth it.

We popped into this fort on our way to the Moreeb dunes as we could see this fort from our hotel balcony. The fort is open 24/7 and is free to enter. Not much to see except rooms and a great view from the top....More

on the images was quite big, but in live it is a small fort. Nothing inside, just to see how it is built

We've been there following trip advisor and there is actually nothing to see but a very small renovated tower. It take 120 seconds to go inside, take the 3 pictures and go out. Strange.......

I found this fort via a UAE Off-Road Book. It was right off E90, down a short road. It appeared to be open all the time, and had some nice views of the dunes. You can just walk inside, and climb up to the top...More
