    Well Worth the Trip!
Contrary to popular belief the Cape of Good Hope is not the southernmost point of the African continent. Instead, it is Cape Agulhas which we were not lucky enough to get to on our voyage. However, our trip to the Cape of Good Hope and Table Mountain National Park was fantastic! It's worth the hike up the hill to the lighthouse and the flora and fauna are just wonderful to enjoy. I saw wild Zebra, Ostrich, Kudu and Spring Bok and a large female Baboon was hanging around or picnic area waiting for just the right morsel to appear. She did spy a nice man and child's ice cream, but they weren't giving it up and managed to evade her. After going through the garbage, she decided she was not happy with leftovers and promptly moved to the exit of the cafe where she managed to swipe a whole fresh lunch from a man's hand. Of course, he was stunned and not thrilled but as a rule of thumb goes you NEVER argue with a hungry Baboon and gracefully surrender your goods. Highly entertaining and worth the time!

Despite the wind, still enjoyed it
The Cape was part of a tour.. First visited in 2016 and returned again in March. It was very windy, 30 knot winds. Despite the wind, hubby and I made the trek up to the lighthouse. Unfortunately they removed the signs to different cities with distance to travel. Too much graffiti. Why do people do that? The clouds covered the bay so visibility was poor. Our guide gave us history lesson about False Bay and explained why the name. If you never been to Cape Town, this is a must see.

    Very nice spot
Really nice park! we didn't do a paid tour but we had an Uber in and things went very smooth. Just be advised, the passengers have to pay for the Uber driver lol very nice ride to the point. The day we went was super windy so bring a light jacket to be safe. There was nothing interactive to do, just a commemorative point to show you where the south western point of the continent is. I think there is a lighthouse and a path near by to hike to but the lighthouse was closed due to the high winds and it was too windy for us to hike. Very nice spot, pretty park. On our way out, we saw some antelope ( I think, at least thats what the driver told us) and then we saw an ostrich walking along the side of the road which was very special.

Make sure you see this when visiting South Africa!
The scenery is beautiful.. You can walk up the trail to the lighthouse on the top of the mountain . It’s quite a hike with many steps but definitely worth it. If climbing this stairs isn’t an option you can certainly take the funicular to the top. The vistas from the light house are amazing. Also keep on the lookout for wildlife. Baboons are not shy and love to take food so make sure it is packed away. On the roads leading to the mountain watch for Ostriches and Elands.

Wonderful way to start our trip to Cape Town
On the drive to Cape of Good Hope we saw baboons and a baby baboon with her mom. We also saw ostrich. The Chapman's Peak drive is breathtaking. We took the Funicular up only because I had bought the tickets in advance. We walked down. The views of the two Oceans was a must see. We ate lunch at the two oceans restaurant. Beautiful views. The food was delicious. Beware of the birds who will steal your fries.

    Cape Town Must Sees!
In Cape Town for 4 days and managed to hit the Cape of Good Hope and the top of Table Mountain in 1 day. Both worth the effort. Great photo spots and amazing views. You won’t be disappointed!

  • Beautiful scenery and drive. Did not disappoint
It was a beautiful walk up to the lighthouse and the Cape of good hope. You can drive pretty close to the points and then walk the rest. Miss Gucci loved the drive from Cape Town with the roads twisting round the mountains and stunning views. Again a car is a must unless you join a tour.

    Amazing feeling!
What a feeling! To be able to say I’ve been to. The most Cape of Good Hope. We did the two trails while we there which were not difficult but the one on the left was a little more challenging going back down in the wind. There were coach loads of people having their picture taken at the sign. I do not have a clue how long it would take but I’m sure it was a good 45min-1hr Its a good drive from the entrance of the park to the Cape so make sure you take drinks and snacks as there is nothing about to grab anything.

Only rated it 1 coz i couldnt rate it 0, drove all the way there to discover there.is an entrance fee, not a fair one tho, if I was sth African it was 100 rand, being a foreigner it was 400 each! Absolutely disgusting, nearly $70 Australian to drive 10 minutes to the end and take some photos, they should be ashamed of themselves, turned the car around and drove away, 4 times what sth Africans pay? No wonder they always have their hands out for tips for just doing their jobs, it's a third world economy

Beautiful dramatic scenery on edge of Africa - next stop Antarctica. Picture at the beach point and then a climb up to the lighthouse. Historic point near where trade and Oceans between east and west meet.

Was amazing to do.as in the Cape of good hope 2day overnight trail (not the view site)....bit windy but it is what it is...amazing views and quiet areas away from busy areas of the park at the time...trail well marked for most of trail...however on Atlantic side some upgrading on marking route can be done...the lumbago tunnel needs clipping as one had to leopard crawl there!..the only bad part was finding gum stuck to a wooden bed in hiking hut which must be removed...so that lowered the rating...:(

Easy to access and it is quite a feeling to be down there. Do not forget to climb up the cliff adjacent to the sign, might be the best thing@

A long drive to get there, a rather high fee to enter the national park and to be honest the only interesting thing it the picture with the sign, which is now twice in English and not in Afrikaans anymore. If you are unlucky there are two busses and the queue is taking a lot of time. Not really worth the hassle.
