The two southern capes, Cape Horn in South America and the Cape of Good Hope are icons from the sail era of early shipping. Its a must to visit this and Cape Point while in Cape Town.
It feels so remote, but is a great excursion to make when travelling through the Cape. Beautiful in its ruggedness. Pity about other people's trash!
It's an area of 'more than outstanding beauty'. Every turn is just stunning - breathtakingly so. Take water with you and just soak it all up. Another must see in the area.

They have hiking trails and some stunning scenery but I, like most others, came for one thing only; a photo by the sign. It was worth it.
