Excellent place to take a swim and relax after a day in the mountain - or to just spend a sunny day. The place is great for kids with water slides and a double kids pool. You´ll also find a kiosk at the entrance - so you basically have what is needed. What makes the place really great is the view on a sunny day - surrounded by mountains of over 1000 meters - with snow on the tops - that can be enjoyed while swimming on you back in 28C water.

Large heated outdoor pool with diving. Also two slides. Toddler pool. Changing and shower facilities next to the pool. Grassy surrounding area with some picnic tables. Popular with locals especially on a sunny day. Take a picnic and stay all day.

This open air pool area is perfect after hiking in the mountains nearby. We visited after a hike to the Vetti waterfall (Vettisfossen). The main pool is large (50m x 25m), it has two waterslides, and the play area is separated from the rest of the pool so that you do not risk being bumped into by others. There are also two smaller pools for children, restrooms, changing rooms and a kiosk where you can buy refreshments. And a large lawn if you want to picnic or sunbathe (bring a blanket or an extra towel). The water holds 28oC and is actually heated by waste heat from the aluminum factory, which is the cornerstone of this town. There are plenty parking spaces nearby, and also just 300m to a grocery store. If you want to spend some hours, I recommend you to bring some food from the store (cheaper and better selection than the kiosk). The ticket is valid for one day, and the cost is 35 NOK for children under 16 years old and 70 NOK for adults. Recommended!
