If memory s correct these mountains are about the same area as the Lake District but go up to 8,500'. There are more bears in the Picos than in the whole Pyrenees. Been here several times and while the towns and villages are more developed...More

A stunning place to spend a week hiking in the mountains amid green fields, trees, dramatic rock faces, crystal clear rivers and pools and the constant chime of cow bells. Idyllic.

great views, best hikes. amazing. we did the hike through the gorge and arranged a pick up at the end. with picos the Europa tours. the did a tour with the Jeep deep in the picos. had a great day !

Beautiful view thru our trip in Spain. Lakes, rivers, peaks and little villages. A live postcard. If you have the luck to going thru this mountains in a tour or by your own, you are going to enjoy it.

This was the most amazing drive with unbelievable views of mountains, rivers, lakes and valleys. Many hiking trails were identified all over the park. The best experience - definitely highly recommended.
