This place has it all: the William Morris connection, beautiful location in a handsome mansion in a nice park, well presented exhibition with many interactive displays and a good shop and restaurant, with friendly staff. The restaurant has the most delicious rhubarb crumble and custard...More

Lovely museum, fantastic warm meet & greet. Small and manageable and set in a beautiful park. Learned a lot about William Morris and his circle, and their politics and personal lives. Brilliant on the context too.

This wonderful gallery is set in an 18th century house which has a pretty parkland at the back of the building (Lloyd park). It’s free to enter and you are warmly greeted by the museum staff at the entrance. At the entrance there is also...More

I was a bit worried that there wouldn’t be enough to justify my visit here, as I’ve been to other, arguably more significant, Morris buildings in recent years (e.g the Red House and Emory Walker’s house although not Kelmscott (yet)). After all, Morris lived in...More

I always enjoyed Morris' designs but learned so much about the man at his boyhood home. Also enjoyed the rooms that displayed his contemporaries' work. More informative that I had expected and the docents were helpful and knowledgeable. Had a lovely lunch in the cafe.

The Georgian home of a young William Morris is set in a lovely park which is an oasis of green in East London. I understand that the building and contents have had a major refurb in recent years and the benefit shone through. As part...More

This is a really quirky little place, the house the gallery is set in is really quaint. The exhibits are really informative but not too wordy. The coffee shop has some nice food, a little pricey though so if you were bringing a family to...More

Really enjoyed the exhibition here, lots to see and a nice light building. Good shop. Cafe looked inviting but had no gluten free options so we couldn't stay.
