This is really a hidden treasure. First, it is near Cape Hedo, meaning it is near the northern most part of the island. If you are driving from Naha, it's gonna take a toll on your backside. Second, this place is so isolated that it...More

This location is famous for lime rocks with interesting shapes and for large scale of banyan trees. It will take hours of driving from Naha City, but is very quite area with less tourists. A discount coupon is available from several free magazines which are...More

This park with a set of graded walks - including one wheelchair-friendly circuit - is extremely beautiful, with amazing rock formations of eroded limestone ('karst' is apparently the official term) and fantastic subtropical plants - cicads, tree ferns, banyans, and hibiscus. Fabulous views from the...More

Good walking path for a day of healthy exercise. You can easily cover 3 x courses as each is not that hard. As the sun is still strong in this season, you'd need a hat which I missed. Trunks of famous 'Gajyumaru' trees are strangely...More

Park in lot and soon the shuttle bus takes you closer to the start. We picked the red route (not the shortest and not the longest) and easily enjoyed the walk. The trail is very well maintained with wonderful views of the ocean and the...More

We only gave ourselves under an hour, which was a shame as this place was really beautiful and tranquil. If you go make sure you go for at least 2 hours to do all the trails as they all looked beautiful. Worth the money for...More

We stumbled across this interesting spot one morning on our way to Cape Hedo. We had our dog with us, which usually limits the activities we can participate in. But, this place allows dogs - even on the shuttle bus! I typically don't like to...More
