Our family visited Kloister Maulbronn while visiting our German friends who live in the Baden-Württemberg region. It is a lovely and peaceful place with a rich history dating back to medieval times. The audioguide is very comprehensive and is available in English. Kloister Maulbronn is...More

The monastery at Maulbronn is a stunning 12th Century Monastery in excellent condition. It is a World UNESCO site and is still functioning as a church. Worth the trip

I liked this monastery. The structure is in very good shape although not much is still present in the interior. The courtyard is nice and the architecture of the building itself is very impressive considering the age. The surrounding half-timbered buildings really add to the...More

Maulbronn Monastery is a special place you can slip into the medieval period. We visited in Easter Friday morning. So few visitors were there and we could enjoy the time as if we were at that time. You can rent a voice guidance at the...More

We visited the abbey on a cold and rainy December day on which there were barely any tourists there. The experience was awe-inspiring: huge empty spaces immersed in complete silence. The buildings surrounding the abbey are well preserved and give you a feel of a...More

Wonderful place. Paid for a guided tour. Since I studied German for over 20 years and speak it fluently, I thought I was all set. Well, forgot about the local dialect ( which the person at the ticket sale did not use), and looked forward...More

Visited here in October 2017 on the recommendation of a German friend. The abbey is set in a lovely countryside setting. It is a UNESCO world heritage site and worth a visit. The 4 wings of the abbey buildings were built in different eras and...More

The abbey is amazing. It is being renovated but what is there is wonderful. The seats in the chapel where the nuns sat were so beautifully worked in wood. Love this place. The courtyard is wonderful with good places to eat. We even enjoyed a...More

Maulbronn is a bit off the normal touristic paths, but worthwhile the detour. It very well conserved and even in high season times not crowded. I went with a group of 18 friends from Spain and they loved it. Certainly worthwhile to rent the audio...More

We visited here on a summer's Sunday. It was not very busy at all. The buildings are spectacular and you can get into the complex without having to pay. To get into the main Cloister you have to pay, but then you are reliant on...More
