Absolutely beautiful view and many cherry blossoms. Wonderful to see at night with all the Japanese lanterns! Great place for a picnic. The actual castle isn't there, but the ruins and base of it are. Just know that it isn't really touristy. It's more the...More

It's not recommended because no signs in foreign language, only japanese , and nothing interesting is expected to encounter. Just only basement of castle remains , spring time must be better with flowers blossoming as in the picture.

I visited in cherry blossom season and it was delightful. It is a good climb up the several levels of ramparts to the top, but the reward from there is a view of Shingu interrupted by other isolated hills.

There are no structures remaining from the original castle. It is a nice place to visit in the spring when you have cherry blossoms and Wisteria flowers according to the brochures. Lots of stairs to climb. This attraction is quite close to the train/bus station,...More

The castle ruins are nice to walk around, but they really are ruins. You do get great views of Shingu City from the top, and it's a nice picnic spot. Tip: One of the best times to visit is in the evening, when the hanging...More

Few steps to climb up here but nothing dramatic. The grounds are peaceful and a nice place to stop and sit on a warm day. Just wander through, enjoy the views across Shingu. No entry fee.
