This centre smells fabulous (presume of local cedar, used in construction?) with information about local cultural interests, staff in next door south buliding, speak English and very helpful. Short walk to giant Tori gate and ruins location of initial temple.

Excellent displays and films providing indepth insights into Kumano ...retail etc. Building and setting stunning - fab views and close to transport links/town...opposite the shrine

The center has English services and info with clean bathrooms. It is located across the street from the Hongu Taisha with bus stops in front.
