First of all, if you are foreigner, you will get half priced admission fee. That's great. There is free shuttle bus from nearest JR station Yasugi. Allow yourself at least one and half to two hours. Museum shop is well stocked and clerks are very...More

I don't know what was more stunning the gardens or the art exhibits. There are at least 8 different garden areas which are viewed through glass. I know, gardens. You think you should walk them. But the reality the beauty is because they are untouched....More

The garden was built by Mr. Adachi Kenko to preserve the art and beauty of a Japanese garden. It balances natural beauty and human artistic creativity. He donated the garden to the Japanese government for the enjoyment of the public. It was autumn and the...More

So many reviews concern only the garden (which is a beautiful example of shared view). But the museum itself is wonderful. And it is large. The autumn 2018 show is beautifully created. One area contrasts paintings by Yokoyama Taikan with others on similar themes by...More

I visited this most beautiful garden in autumn and spring. I understood this garden had different faces with colorful temptations. Like Venezia city in Italy, we want to visit there at least one times our lifetime. 四季折々の表情がとても良い。外国人におススメと言われるが、日本人も一度は訪れたい。しかし、いつ行くのが良いかと問われれば、秋をお勧めしたい。借景による遠景の山が見事なほどに、色ずく。
