This is a beautiful shrine. There is a long nice walk to the main area. Don't forget to bring lots of 5yen coins to pay respects at all the various locations

Great place, easy access by car. There was a wedding being held when I was there. Beautiful but many parts of it aren't accessible to the public.

Beautiful shrine! A very large shrine with plenty of statues and buildings to visit. The streets outside of the shrine are filled with awesome food and shops.

There are 3 windows, Omamori Dokoro, Kaguraden and Kitajima Kunizukurikan, are opened from 6:30 am to 8:00 pm. You can get 4 different stamps when visiting all windows.

It takes 2-3 hour for visit the shrine and for the museum another 2 hour needed. I think in summer it can be but in winter it is hard to finish in one day.

i spent 1.5hrs to walk around Izumo-tasha, then took 30mins for shopping in a town. a local train connected between izumo taisha sta to Matsue city and it took 1.5hrs. but trains operated only once every hour, so you should... More
