This is a nice place to visit in Shiga. So nicely preserved and displayed the history of Lake Biwa. You can also see most of the species lives in the Lake Biwa in the aquarium part. Even the surrounding natural beauty also amazing!

This is a good and very diverse museum/aquarium showing different aspects of lake Biwa and the area around it. Kids loved it. However, they keep two seals in a much too small enclosure.

An interesting discovery Lake Biwa both nature and history. Surrounding area is quite nice and quiet too. Feel like the crowded city is far left behind.
