Tadao Ando's iconic Church of the Light in Osaka. Worth the visit but check the website: you must register in advance, it is not open everyday, it takes an hour from the Osaka station. At IBARAKI station take the bus number 2.

Despite its huge architectural reputation, the church itself is a very low-key traditional local church. Do not expect Pentecostal megachurch-style paranormal experiences there. We joined the congregation for their Sunday service and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. I was stoked by how much hard effort...More

Some things you do as items on an agenda are incidental; like discovering the crazy world of Osaka nightlife on the "other side" of town. If there is an opposite to crazy, it would be peace, or a discussion might propose. Tadao Ando's design, I...More

Visited on a Sunday afternoon and really liked this place and the architecture - very peaceful. Make sure to call them and ask for the times you can enter the church - that's where you see the real magic and how the light plays! Was...More

In the vicinity, 1,5 km from, of the Osaka Expo 1972 location is an interesting concrete church by Tadao Ando. From outside, only on Sunday's you can visit it inside, you can see the play with light that makes this place a three stars location.
