We've been here few times and never get bored. They offer free audio guide in English (and other languages) which offer detailed explanations about most of the artifacts. It's really big and spacious inside and takes few hours to see all ethnic cultures of the...More

This place is just overwhelming. An incredible collection of items from all over the world. It is also (very surprisingly) hardly ever crowded. We live in the area and go a few times a year and never get bored. I've been to museums all over...More

There was a special exhibit on about a European who introduced Japanese culture to Europe which was extremely good with art objects that were world class. However the main museum show we found to be overwhelming and cluttered. Each room is packed with objects that...More

I usually avoid museums. This is the only museum I have been to that I thoroughly enjoyed. There were so many fascinating displays I spent at least three hours in there, still felt I may need another visit.

Perhaps because it is a 15-20 minute walk from the Monorail station Bamako-Kinen-Koen through the Expo Park, this museum does not seem to enjoy the number of visitors that it deserves. It is housed in a modern, architecturally-significant building, set in beautiful parkland with flowering...More

Excellent museum with extensive displays. We spent 5 hours and could only cover a part of it quickly. The English language guide was excellent. The use of the actual researchers who collected the materials to prepare and present in the audiovisual guide was fantastic.
