Really accesible if you are in Morioka, the water is clear and there is a restaurant by the beach. There is a lot of walking path with the view of the beach. The beach is exceptionally calm due to the rocks breaking the waves before...More

I really appreciated the English language reviews of Jodogahama Beach on Trip Advisor since all three of my guide books and the websites I found had very little information on this area and I couldn't figure out how to plan a stay on the coast....More

If I was here for the first time I would have been seriously wowed. But I have walked 500 miles (literally, I'm on a walking pilgrimage from Hachinohe to Fukushima) so perhaps there are more majestic places along the Coast of Tohoku, but this is...More

Having seen this beach in full sunlight and light fog, I have to say the gray outcropping rock islands that rise from the waters of the bay lend themselves to the surreal mystery of a misty day. The jagged, abrupt formations are severe and stunning;...More

Very interesting and breathtaking scenery. The beach formations were very unusual - we didn't get to swim cos it was autumn! Definitely worth a visit and great photo opportunity.

I suppose visitors to Tono Valley would have to venture out to the coast to take in this attraction, maybe that's why. But this beach features crystal clear water with a pebble bottom, and it's main claim to fame is a row of jagged rocky...More
