Perhaps the space seems a little small, so it felt rather crowded. We were there during around 5pm, right before dinner hours so I guess that is when most people would have checked into their rooms and were heading out of a bath session before...More

Dear AliciaCLPhang, Thank you very much for your comment. We are sorry to know that you couldn’t have a relaxing time at Yanagi-yu. It is the smallest public bath in Kinosaki Onsen. The walls and bath tub are made from cypress wood and they are...More

This onsen was really beautiful, though my wife found it a little small, leaving no room to escape the other guests. It also didn't feel entirely friendly towards westerners, nothing specific, just an odd feeling.More

Dear Chris_DJ_Bear_Acton, Thank you very much for your feedback. The walls and bath tub are made from cypress wood and they are supposed to provide a light fragrance and relaxing experience. We really appreciate your view which tells us that not every guest feels satisfied...More

This is the hottest (by far) bathhouse in Kinosaki. Truly for those who are brave of mind and body and who don't mind coming out looking like a cooked lobster. Scorching hot water prevents you from staying there too long. It's a small bathhouse and...More

I was disappointed with Yangi yu after going there the first night. It doesn’t look or feel like a Japanese hot spring. There is only one pool and it is only slightly bigger than the ryokan I stayed. It is supposed to be a public...More

Nonetheless, I enjoyed it. It did seem like the people there were in a rush to get in and out, but the people working there weren't particularly encouraging that. I went in for free due to staying at a local ryokan.
