We did not visit the museum. The cathedral is nice looking from outside but more impressive inside. It used to be one of the biggest in its time.

Firstly neither of these places are disabled friendly, wheelchair access none. Cloister very enjoyable with plenty to see. View from the roof only for the abled bodied. Church accessed from outside. Museum a cross the way, well unless your really into modern art you could...More

I have family in Elne so I've visited it a few times already and always love to have a walk around its historical centre and their cathedral with such amazing views. Probably better if you get there at sunset.

Wonderful cloisters and a relaxing way to spend an afternoon. Parking is a little difficult to come by so better parking in the town and walking the short way up.

Dive into the history of Elne with a visit to this museum. Nice collection of prehistorical and roman finds, with context added. Most is in French, but they offer guides in many languages.

Loved the Romanesque pillars around the courtyard. Such beautiful leaf motifs. Slightly gruesome story of a French massacre of the all locals as they took refuge in the cathedral in the 13th century or something. Great views from the terrace, though very narrow, though short,...More
