This unusual building tells the story of how Elizabeth Eibenitz opened a maternity home in this disused chateau for pregnant refugees, mainly from Spain but other countries too. It was open from 1939 to 1944 and 600 babies were born there in a happy, loving...More

Lovely building which hides an incredible story. In the middle on nowhere but worth a detour. Charming story of a home for mothers/babies sheltering from war and starvation. Loved it.

This interesting building tells the story of a remarkable lady who saved hundreds of Spanish refugee babies and mothers during the war. Well worth a visit, although It would be better if the story was told in English and well as French and Spanish.

All secondary schoolers should visit this place: a spot of humanity among inhumanity of Second World War. Worth a visit.

Well worth the visit. Lovely building which tells the story of one lady's support for pregnant women, caught up during the 1939-44 war, although many were from Spain. They had fled the civil war.

The museum is very small and everything is in French, so I could not get the gist of the place. Nice building though, but to my opinion no 'must see'.

This beautifully renovated chateau holds a huge piece of History that has long been forgotten, the destiny and lives of the war refugees, particularly women and children. A wonderful task was made in this place by a Swiss teacher that saved lots of lives. Don't...More
