I found this museum while walking down from the castle, the lady I met in the morning was very warm and welcoming. The museum is definately worth a visit, small but a lovely glimpse into a simple life in the 20th Century and the ability to view pottery and paintings left behind.

€2.12 buys entry to all Aljezur's museums - excellent value for money. Two ladies were working here, & took great pains to make sure that we didn't miss any important items.

Loved looking around this museum made of the house of the painter Jose Cercas. Fascinating to see how life was lived in early 20th century Portuguese towns.

This doesn't appear to be open all the time despite the shiny new sign on the door. We had to go to the Municipal museum down the road and the lady there had to lock that museum and then come with us to open this one. That information isn't on the board in English or Portuguese.…
