Display there is informative but you can check such things through internet too. I had a high hope to see Toki close as the pictures often seen make us believe so. But I knew now that it is only by chance.

The conservation of the last surviving wild Toki was undertaken some years ago. Breeding them now in captivity to release back into the wild. A marvelous education center is attached to the breeding center. Very helpful with most signs in English as well as Japanese....More

Pretty park with a lot of caged birds under protection of the conservation center--live video of the birds in their habitat. A little disappointing that the cages were difficult to see through and you had to stay really far away so not good photo ops.

It started to rain as soon as we stepped outside, so I only got to see the toki with the binoculars. We enjoyed eating an edamame cone at the entrance.
