Kashikojima is the last stop of Kintetsu line. Although many people go to Ise shrine, only a few people go there, partly because the local transport is not convenient. This time, we had time to visit Kashikojima after the visit of Ise. The village is really calm and tranquil. We did neither take a boat nor visit the aquarium. However it was enjoyable just to take a walk.

I really enjoy the place, especially the shops, the cafe, seafood, and the friendly people. The boat cruise is really enjoyable. The lessons on how pearls are produced are interesting. The food is really good.

May skip if time is limited. Not having better view from land but just an experience.
There is a front reserved section but seemed no need to enter if it is not crowded. You could sit near the bar if it is too sunshine on the top.
Take time to try seafood nearby the boat berthing area and they are really good.

There are hundreds of things to do in Kashikojima, so it is well worth visiting. Here are some of the things I would recommend:
-pearl-shopping
-eating deep-fried breaded oysters (カキフライ)
-Shima Marineland Aquarium
-Spain Mura
-Himawari no Yu Onsen at Spain Mura
-beach day at Kou Shirahama
-Esperanza Ago Bay Cruise
If you stay at any of the hotels in the area, you will receive discount tickets for most of the above activities. If your hotel doesn`t offer this when you arrive, just ask!

Where can I get some information on the boat trip to pearls farms and the visit to the pearl factories?
