We bought ticket only for garden, which cost 8 EUR per person. It is nice but not must. In hot day you can hide under nice alley of trees.

8.50€ for a 10 minute walk in a small garden? No way! Not to mention the fact you have to pay another 8€ just to park your car. Disappointing.

The Casa de Mateus is a lovely Manor House with beautiful gardens. The antiques in the house are beautiful and you could walk for hours in the beautiful gardens.

it's 12 euro per visitor, for the castle, the chapel and free for the gardens. If you like wine, spend the extra 5 euro for the wine tasting, it's something different from the well known rosé

Hi there, To be honest I am not sure! I purchased my ticket at the front gate, but there were a few tour busses there, so maybe you can book a tour? Best of luck! And wishing you excellent weather for your outing (:
