We went to the museum and had a glimpse of the atrocities done by the Japanese to the Chinese people. Its a shame that the Japanese government is still disputing the carnage they have done and trying to change the history text books thinking that history will be lost. What a shame.

Very moving. The Chinese are up front about showing the brutality of the Japanese occupation. This is a memorial to a large massacre that occurred in Fushun. You will see the actual unearthed site. It should take about a half a day to see.

Committed by the Imperial Japanese forces, against innocent men, women and children. The reasons were greed for the valuable coal, wood, food resources of northeast China, and I believe a feeling of vast superiority over all other Asians of the Japanese of the time! This is real history, and all need to view and remember history so we avoid the same mistakes, crimes, inhuman acts of the past. I now have a much clearer understanding of why the average Chinese citizen today has less than warm feelings for the Japanese nation. In 1932, Japanese Imperial Forces in Fushun committed this tragedy. More than 3,000 innocent people were murdered, and this is the worst atrocity of its kind in WWII, other than the massacre in [rape of] Nanking. The building structure, displays and historical artifacts are first class. I am happy to note that Japanese representatives have visited and installed a black marble marker, I presume making an apology. I highly recommend this place, but not for children under the age of twelve
