This trip was fantastic. The landscape is an endless “wave of green fields” withe scattered settlements. Herds of sheep and herdsmen on foot or on motorbikes following or guiding the herds. This grassland/prairie seems endless. Withe small river snaking away here and there. Only very...More

Obviously the grassland of this region is the reason we all came here for, and we were not disappointed. This year has been dryer than any previous year so the grass is not so green and thick, otherwise it would have been a fantastic view....More

Areas along the major roads had more or less the same tourist attraction setups : horse riding, Mongolian tents and motor bikes... etc. These commercial setups made me tired very soon.

The grasslands are great to see with nothing then endlessness around it. It is stuffed with Chinese entertainment which is a bit sad, but if you walk long enough, you can escape it.

We had a cab driver called Chen Shifu, recommended by another trip advisor user. +8618647028187. He can even help you do hotel bookings. Only catch is, he speaks only Chinese.
