The museum is very interesting to those interested in the development of a nations written history. It is one of the better attractions in Anyang.

Absolutely loved this place learning about the evolution of Chinese characters which are still in existence today. I spend 2 hours at this museum reading and learning. Well laid out, some real scapula bones with writing, and some reproduced. Worth the visit.

We managed to arrive at the museum on National Museum Day (May 18). Outside we saw a calligraphy contest, while inside there were dances, songs and music, to augment the truly interesting exhibits of the development of Chinese writing. The museum provides volunteer English-speaking guides....More

What a fantastic museum. Totally not what you would expect but an amazing insight into the development of Chinese Characters. Definitely worth a visit and very professionally done.
