I loved it. The tour is in German starting every hour. If you arrive between the tours you can visit the armory. The audioguide is free to take the tour with. The biggest collection of arms in existence still. The castle itself is impressive. Even...More

This was a wonderful place to visit. But in the German tour there was an American translator who wanted to translate EVERYTHING into English. This meant an hour tour turned out to be almost 90 minutes long. The castle was cold, some elderly folk were...More

Interesting castle....tour was very informative The castle had been lived in for many years, and had a part in world history at many times. It gives you a feeling for the time span that the castle covers.

Great tour with plenty of interesting information and jokes from the guide along the way. Definitely not boring. Beautiful rooms. You get to visit a lot of rooms.

What a wonderful experience. The guide does the entire tour in German but the English guidebook and audio that we received with our booking made following the guide a breeze. Fascinating experience. Unbelievable the level of ostentatiousness that kings and queens lived by. One has...More

A tour of the castle is mandatory, and as others have noted, it is only conducted in German. Those of us who did not speak German fluently, were given booklets in our native language to follow along with. It was fairly easy to follow along,...More

The town is small and a bit far away from the regular touristy spots . The castle is massive, impressive and well kept. As the demand was for a German speaking guide by the majority so we could not grasp much. Most of the time we...More
