The view from the bridge itself is worth a stop at the least (and the cafe!). Plenty of people in swimming and jumping off the rocks - the water looked amazing. We did the walk to the 2 waterfalls which was nice through the trees...More

Absolutely as must see... bring your togs! On a hot day this is a relaxing respite between Nelson and Havelock, Blenheim, or Picton. It gets crowded and swimming is unguarded. Still nice to take a dip anyway!

I loved this place. What a great picnic spot and swim location. Even the dog went in for a swim. Very picturesque and not that far from Havelock and Canvastown to pick up the necessary food items.

Take time to stop and take a walk around to see the natural rock formations up and down the river. Stand on the bridge and watch the kids jump in the water on a hot day. Awesome views.

Lovely stop off between Picton & Havelock - river runs through some interesting landscape & vegetation here. Good bird life.

It was a lovely scenic drive here from Nelson. We did the Totara Walk which was lovely, and also walked down to the river. The colour of the water is gorgeous! Definitely worth a stop.

Stopped here en route to Blenheim and very glad we did. Perfect for a short woodland walk, picnic or a dip into the crystal clear waters used in the filming of The Hobbit film. Was jealous of the kayakers too. Lots of parking available and...More
