We come to visit the Third Street each time we visit Naples but the experience during the holiday season is unbeatable. The street is filled with lights and beautifully decorated, the businesses are often open late and the displays are gorgeous. In the evening the restaurants are packed with diners and often with music. At 7 PM on weekends bubble machines produce lovely illusion of snow - enthusiastically received by the visitors of all ages.
It is recipe for a beautiful evening experience of the holiday season.

Third Street in Downtown Naples has high end dining and shopping. Its not as crowded as 5th Avenue and its a nice area to stroll day or night.

My favorite area in downtown Naples! Feels more authentic than 5th avenue, has lots of food choices with better outdoor seating, and the retail is less touristy.

We got a tip to go to 3rd Street for shops and good food, and we went in for the ride. Well, good tip paid off, as we got to shop at Tommy Bahamas and much much more. We had drinks and a nice dinner to complete our journey.

Cool area we visit when we are on the “other side” of Naples (Ritz), many things to see and do, or not to do. Your choice.

Great place for the ethnic palettes. A little of everything. People are so creative with the art work. All the food smelled delicious. We bought dandelion greens and eggplant.

After a delightful dinner in the neighborhood, we had a lovely walk around 3rd St. Lots of high-end shops and great restaurants, and everything is well maintained. We need to return tomorrow since we did not realize the Naples Pier is just blocks away!

Parking is available on both side of the street and the largest municipal free parking will be on the right side coming from the north (fifth Ave.) across the street from the legendary restaurant Campiello, behind the shopping enclave.

Granddaughter (23) and fiance are visiting for the long weekend. Looks like the weather wont be for beach going. Can you suggest things to do if it is cool and raining? Good restaurant on the water but not too expensive.

I’m from Naperville- living in Naples now full time selling Real Estate in paradise to my northern friends relocating! I would suggest surfing Groupon for bargains first - there are a lot of discounts there! You can’t go wrong with a sunset cruise on the Gordon river or to Cape Romano to see the dome home. Pinchers at Tin City is a good pick with little shops filled with tourist finds, Docks at the Naples Public Docks is a great place to eat. Docs Beach House on Bonita Beach has the best original Chicago Italian beef sandwiches and pizza after 4 pm and it’s right on the breach! A little hidden gem too is Barefoot Beach off Bonita Beach Rd——amazing drive to this very beautiful secluded beach—-home to a super large colony of Gopher Turtles.

I love this area and want to stay here in Jan. One year we stayed at Cove Inn and it was fine but looking for a little more upscale. We can also rent house or condo. Somewhere between 8th and 14th. Anyone have any suggestions?

To follow-up, I noticed the one individual (Realtor) did mention the "Trianon Hotel". Again, very nice, rather unknown place in town. More interestingly, the guy "Mike" gave you the "great tip" (which I failed to read earlier - sorry) by mentioning the initials VRBO. I am sure, he like me probably attempted to type in a "period" before and after those initials as well as 3 w's before the initials and you can probably guess what three letters at the end (Charlie, Oscar, Manny) however, it is forbidden on Trip Advisor. More specifically, a person cannot submit an answer when this acronym is used in a sentence. At any rate, I believe "Mike" as well as "I" are giving you a good lead by suggesting you go there to find what you are looking for. Again, good to meet you and all the best to you and your family.

Have they gone back to real snow or are they using the soapy like substance they used last year?

Hello Dale,
The product we use to create the 'snow' has always been dye and fragrance free hypoallergenic bubble bath soap. The only time I have seen someone create the real snow is the Collier County sponsored Snow Fest held out on Golden Gate Parkway. We now do our 'snow' Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays through December.

Hi Billy
We stayed near to 3rd street south during May this year at the end of the high season.
The pavements were not as crowded as 5th Ave many of the young families enjoyed seeing the horse and carriage rides outside Tommy Bahama's.
Nearby Barbatella sells fabulous Italian ice cream. Many young families enjoyed the casual atmosphere of Janes Cafe just off 3rd Street South. It was our favourite eatery.
Great coffee and pastries at Tony's just of third.
Check out all my reviews we had an amazing 10 days and visited some great places all within 10 miles.
Warm Regards
