As a family we took a day tour of Corcovado national park. As always some sense of perspective and realism is required when looking for animals in a tropical rainforest as perceptions of what you will see are distorted by nature programmes. That said, we...More
We booked a trip from La Picolina Tours at Playa Colorada. Our guide was Everest (like the mountain). We chose this station rather than Sirena because of the shorter boat trip (only 20mins), as we had experienced quite rough seas the day before and had...More

Just took a 3-day hike in the park, 2 nights at Serena Station, with 2 kids, ages 10 & 12. Wonderful experience! We rode to Carate with our guide, saw so many animals and learned so much on the 19 km hike in (including 7...More

There are hills around Los Patos. We walked from there to La Sirena. To begin there was a hill to go over, quite steep and plenty of things to trip over. There was a river crossing, quite deep - higher than the bottom of my pack - but thats closer to La Sirena. We wore runners/trail runners with no problems except some blisters and used sandals for the crossings.
