We’ve been coming to Jaco for years. Jaco is still a great beach to come to and is one of our favorites. For us, it is sad to see the increased traffic, buildings & business activity along the beach. We’ll enjoy it while we can.

Popped here for a few hours on our way north. Great place to watch the surfers do their thing. The town was quite busy too so something for everyone. Lots of touristy shops

Pretty beach, black sand so it looks a bit like dirt but still very nice. Plenty of different Surf Schools, most charge around $10 per day to rent a surfboard, or $35 for a surf lesson. Two loungers and an umbrella are about $10 but...More

We were in town quite often. The beach is clean & beautiful. The town is great to visit for the restaurants & bars. We were there quite a bit to buy souvenirs & gifts. The people are helpful & friendly. We'll be back soon!

VERY crowded on the weekend (DON'T try to drive), but delightful during the week, with very gently sloping sand and cool, but not cold, water, easy waves.

My wife and I visited CR for the first time and we were pleased with our choice. We stayed at a condo on the beach and had access to a couple of beachside bar that were great for sunset watching. I would highly recommend visiting...More
