We stayed at a hotel fronting the beach which has a shallow sandy beach with little wave and current. Perfect for families. The vendors are not aggressive. On Sundays the locals show up in large numbers.
We came here twice. Even on a Weekend there were not many people here.
You can drink coconuts and get sevice there i guess. We had cooled coconuts twice there :)
We also rented two sunbeds + umbrella from a friendly america guy which is...More
This is a nice beach with moderate waves and great views of the bay and the two small islands off shore. It all makes for a very picturesque setting with gorgeous sunsets. There are restaurants along the beach, and plenty of beach lounges for relaxing...More
A public beach, but really didn’t feel that way stop never that crowded, nice bars and restaurants Behind the row of shrubbery and palm trees, so it doesn’t feel massively touristy but lots of places to eat and drink and get shade without having to...More

I like this beach because it has low surf. It is not muddy like someone of the Guanacaste beaches. There are restaurants along the beach, my favorite being Aqua Sport. We have visited many CR beaches and this is the one to which we returned....More

Hello. You can easily enjoy the beach at Playa Hermosa and Coco in one day. Possibly even Ocotal. There really isn't any public transportation that will help. You may choose to get a taxi from Playa Hermosa over to Coco. It is a short drive. About 15 minutes. I would not recommend a rental car. There are ATV's and other types of motor bikes you can rent there. It is a tico town that is good for some small shopping and eating. A couple of larger grocery stores are there as well. Panama would be too far to travel to seeing how you are only staying 4 nights. Easy to get snorkeling, kayaking and paddle boards there in Playa Hermosa. Many people will offer tours. Just be careful. You may need to pay in cash but, only pay when you are on or at the end of your tour. It is a beautiful place and you do not have to go far to enjoy it.
