If you are big on hiking there’s a lot of hiking. There wasn’t that much to see. We saw a couple monkeys! We were able to take a dip in the natural hot springs which was very relaxing and soothing. I would recommend the hike...More

Kayaking on this lake was my personal highlight of Monteverde, above ziplining etc. May have been because there was only 3 of us plus the instructor, but it was so relaxing and fun.

We went across Lake Arenal to transfer towards Monteverde from La Fortuna. The lake seemed ok, though unfortunately the views back to the Arenal volcano were obscured by cloud. I would guess that on a sunny day it is a really nice view.

A lovely lake with great scenery. We crossed it on the way from La Fortuna to Monteverde. Although it was a grey, overcast day we were still able to appreciate the great views.

We drove halfway around Lake Arenal to get from La Fortuna to the beach area in Guanacaste. It was a beautiful and scenic drive and we drove over the dam. I wish there were more lookout spots to take pictures from and better signs to...More

Sorry can’t help you. It wasn’t breezy when we visited, but in reality that single observation doesn’t mean much.
