Took a taxi boat across the river to get to Monteverde. Great views with a lot of shore birds. Its a 3 hour drive to Monteverde over dirt and gravel roads.

We had private transport to and around the lake to get to our resort and to SkyAdventurers for the park and zip line. It's just a gorgeous drive along the lake but it is definitely winding and may cause motion sickness for some.
