Lake Arenal with the mountain in the background is absolutely picture perfect. If you are in the La Fortuna area, don't pass up the opportunity to drive around the lake. The scenery is spectacular.

Lake Arenal is one of the nicest lakes we have ever seen. There are so many things you can do at this lake. We were able to stop by one of the boat ramps and enjoy watching all the tour boats go by.

Nice volcano, but you really can't climb it because it is protected area. Most volcano tours we read about before we got there mentioned climbing the volcano...can't (legally) be done.

Must see! There is so much to do and see. Truly a special place. It is admirable to see how the Costa Rican culture embraces nature. Very easy to be a vegetarian here!

Sorry can’t help you. It wasn’t breezy when we visited, but in reality that single observation doesn’t mean much.
