This is one of my favourite subway systems on the planet. The trains are usually pretty regular and it handles one of the most densely populated areas on the planet pretty well.

There are two metro stations at Hongqiao Airport, at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. In theory you should be able to get the refund for your card at the Metro Station Service Booth.

No, they don't. We we're advised not to use our credit card in China at all due to some hacking and theft,very used Chinese money.
