Visiting the Shanghai Hongqiao railway station is efficient and for the amount of people moving through the area is a wonder in itself! Subway or fast speed trains Hongqiao will get you to you're destination!

The Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station is really big and right next to the Hongqiao Airport. It’s really advanced and has all kinds of trains at all times (slow trains and fast trains). The ticket system is also pretty great because you can either get a...More

This is a massive train station. It is attached to the Hongqiao Airport as well. There are plenty of places to eat at the station, and people can even buy food there to take it on the train with them. It is also big enough...More

It was my first China’s railway station after 10 years and I must admit their development progress all these years to cater the gigantic population. This railway is very big from one end to another. I almost felt I don’t want to walk back after...More

Huge railway station with all required amenities. Best part is their food court. Ample veg & non veg restaurants to chose from. Probably one of the best stations so far.

I use the high speed train service very often. This is the largest station I have used in China to date with 30 platforms. However, this does mean that you have to arrive in good time to get through the security checks as they are...More

All signage (as all of SH transportation) is very clearly labeled - but the place is the size of a village. The first time, come at least 1 hr before departure to file through security scans, passport + ticket control + find your waiting room....More

The location is convenient. The place is clean and spacious even though it always has hundreds of people, if not thousands. I like their different choices of cuisines. This is a place you don't feel bored on a trip.

Very big, like an airport and same control before to get it. Is directly connected to the local airport just next to them. The station is connected with metro, and by subway you can easily reach the international airport. Just 7-10¥.

I would look for a later train. From arrival you may need 60 minutes to get through immigration at PVG and then another 90 minutes to get from PVG to Hongqiao.
