Akko is the city of the Cruzade knights and the Templars. Don't miss the visit to the Templar Tunnel and the Knights Hall. Everything is well organized to make the visit most enjoyable. Take time to walk around the city and the promenade close to...More

We hadn't been here for years & years & years.... Afterwards we said 'we should have left it like that! Finding a parking place, nearly impossible! Clean? NO! Filthy? Absolutely! Tourist trap? O Yes! Will we visit again? Eh no thanks (as in' never ')!...More

Old town Akko is fun to look around and explore. Lots of shops and restaurants. some are so so but there are a few that are very good. Lots of history here to see.

Great character in so many different parts of this must-visit city. Very much appreciated the easy access to all the sites.

Not a particularly compelling stop. The market and old town is dirty and the shops are quite touristy. The Old Town lacks the charm you would expect. Go so the Citadel and then move on.

Good place to take in the history of this ancient city by walking through the narrow streets and seeing the markets, people and harbor. The Crusader site is must-see.

In my opinion, it is certainly one of the gems of the Israeli historic attractions. Visit to Acre allows to combine seeing both one of the gems of the early middle ages’ history/architecture/culture – Akko castle and old Arabs city. The efforts/investments to discover and...More

Beautiful town , lovely people who I feel are a little shy, but once you start a conversation are very friendly. So much to see and walking is so easy , just explore and enjoy the history

We have travelled a LOT. Staying in Haifa for 2 nts. Went to Akko today. People not very friendly to us (as Americans). One local acted like she didn’t know where the Templar tunnel was (the sign was pulled off the wall) & then we...More

I'd say it depends on a few factors. We didn't hire a guide and had relatively little issue getting ourselves around to the sites we wanted to check out (they have maps at the visitor centers that are quite helpful). We also... More

Suggest to park outside the old town and walk to the center. Much more convenient.

It is old and the pavements are not good. I would advise a carrier.
